The opening of the Orange 5G network in the commune of Étang-Salé, including the Zone d’Activités Économiques (ZAE) des Sables, marks the continuation by Orange of its digital development plan for the region.

Compared with previous generations of mobile networks, the new 5G technology can connect 10 times more users simultaneously, offering them more than triple the speeds (compared with 4G) and significantly lower latency times.

The arrival of 5G will contribute directly to supporting local economic development and the attractiveness of the Les Sables business park, by paving the way for new, high added-value uses. The companies located on the ZAE des Sables – 130 businesses in a wide range of sectors including agri-food, logistics and major works – will now benefit from improved connectivity to support and accelerate their digital transformation. ” We are delighted with this technological advance in our area of activity. The arrival of 5G will bring a new level of convenience to our digital transmissions and open up new horizons ,” says Cécile Le Guilloux, co-manager of KDOPAYS, which has been based in the ZAE des sables for 8 years.
