A delegation of startups from Mauritius was present with the Economic Development Board (EDB) at Viva Technology 2022 (Versailles, France), Europe’s largest technology show, from June 14 to 18. Under the impulse of the French Tech Mauritius, in partnership with the EDB, a delegation of Mauritian startups was present on an Africa Tech stand at the show.

“After a successful first participation in 2019, which had initiated in particular the takeoff of the startup Rwazi, we are delighted to be back at Viva Technology, in collaboration with the Economic Development Board. Our delegation testifies to the vitality of the innovative ecosystem in Mauritius, with the fundraising of the startup Inspectforless, winner of the Tech4Good Challenge,” said Michel Cordani, co-president of French Tech Mauritius.
Stefan Sakoschek, CEO of Inspecforless, and recent winner of the Tech4Good Challenge, gave a positive assessment of this mission: “We are delighted with our participation in Viva Technology. The most important points that we remember are the great meetings with VCs (venture capitalists – ed. note), fruitful exchanges with large inspection companies, contacts made with marketplaces that want to use our platform for the product inspection part. Moreover, we met in person the representatives of Circularity, one of our partners who has been with us since the beginning. Choosing a large booth with other startups makes all the difference in terms of visibility and atmosphere at a trade show as important as Viva Technology.

The eight startups were:
  • Inspecforless, the first global BtoB inspection platform.
  • Auxo World, high-end immersive metavers/web3 solutions for brands.
  • ai, recommendation engine for e-merchants.
  • FinClub, innovative platform of participative financing for individuals and small businesses.
  • Holberton School, IT engineering school based on an innovative and inclusive pedagogy.
  • Lean Search, solution of “Search Engine Marketing” (UX driven SEO, conversion driven ads).
  • OceanDBA, MySQL database expertise and solutions.
  • La Plage Factory, incubator-accelerator specialized in ‘Tech for good
