The hotel branch of the diversified Mauritian group IBL continues to develop despite the uncertain context. As the impressive Merville * construction site progresses in Mauritius, LUX * is opening its very first ultra-luxury hotel in China.

LUX * Chongzuo, Guangxi Resort & Villas, located in Daxin County, surrounded by lush tropical gardens with stunning views of the majestic karst, will be officially opened and inaugurated on February 1, 2021. Located in Guangxi Province and separated from Vietnam by scenic Mingshi River, the hotel is less than two hours from Nanning Wuxu International Airport and Nongguan Nature Reserve, home to the endangered Cat Ba semnopithecus. Visitors can also enjoy Asia’s largest transnational waterfall – Detian – which is 30 minutes from the property.

Designed by Teamer International, the architecture is in harmony with an unspoiled landscape and a natural setting. City dwellers will find a little corner of paradise, far from noise pollution. The hotel comprises 50 suites and six villas, ranging from 80 to 180 square meters, in the first phase. All rooms have a balcony with stunning views of the river, impressive karst mountains and tropical forests. The use of native materials such as wood and stones, accentuated by a copper finish, unveils a minimalist look that is both aesthetic and functional.

Led by Executive Chef George Qu, who received the title of Excellent Chef in the prestigious Cordon Bleu international Culinary competition in 2018, the hotel’s two restaurants and three bars will be open 24/7.

* The Merville Beach hotel, at the northern exit of Grand-Baie, built in 1973 and rated 3+. Is being transformed into a gigantic 5-star and will be renamed LUX * Grand-Baie.
