Mvola, a subsidiary of the Telma group, is Madagascar’s 1st mobile money transfer service and the country’s 1st digital bank. MVola expanded its remittance partnerships at the beginning of the year, welcoming Thunes, a remittance aggregator that enables partnership with Orange Money Europe.

After Western Union, MVola Comores, Taptap Send and MFS Africa, MoneyGram, it’s now Orange Money Europe’s turn to join MVola’s remittance ecosystem thanks to its Thunes aggregator.
Since mid-January, the Malagasy diaspora using the Orange Money Europe application in Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands can easily send money to an MVola account in Madagascar. For families in Madagascar, they can receive money directly from Orange Money Europe to their MVola account.

MVola certified B Corp

For Louis-Olivier Favot, CEO of Mvola: “This collaboration can be summed up in a single word: interoperability. Once again, we’re proud to be pioneers in this field in Madagascar. Thanks to this interoperability between operators, Malagasy families will enjoy a more optimal money-receiving experience at lower cost…”
In 2023, MVola became the 1st FinTech operating in the Indian Ocean to obtain B Corp certification.
