Club Export Réunion, which is leading a delegation of Réunion companies to Tamatave for business meetings with Madagascan operators, took advantage of its stay to visit the port.

Photo (Thomas Lauret): The delegation of companies from La Réunion and their Madagascan partners from GEPAT visit the extension of the container storage area and the new quay at the port of Tamatave, Madagascar’s leading port in terms of cargo volume.

An opportunity to discover one of the most important projects currently underway in Madagascar. The port of Tamatave, through which over 80% of the country’s incoming and outgoing goods pass, is currently undergoing considerable expansion.
The expansion project (a total of 25 hectares in addition to the current 70 hectares of the port area) will first extend the container storage area by a total of 10 hectares, to be delivered in 2026.
